Snow Spider

This book is about a boy who finds out that he is a wizard. On his ninth birthday his grandmother gives him five objects. A carving of a horse with no tail and no ears, a piece of seaweed, a scarf from his sister Bethan, and a tin whistle, a Celtic brooch.Bethan disappeared on the mountain behind his family's farmhouse four years previously and was never seen again. His grandmother tells him that he can use them to make his one true desire come true. So when his grandma tells him to throw them in the wind he does. he throws the brooch first. It come back as a silver spider. He calls the spider Arianwen. She spun a cobweb in Gwyn's room and he could see a beautiful city. Children emerge to play in the snow and the sound of there voices carries into Gwyn's room. All of a sudden his mom comes into the room and poof the cobweb vanishes.
