The Hunter's Moon is a book about two girls, Gwen and Findabhair. When Gwen goes to visit her cousin in Ireland, she expects to explore the Faerie world. Never in her wildest dreams, would she expect to get so deeply involved with it. Thinking that nothing will happen, the two girls sleep in a Faerie mound. While they are sleeping, Fin willing goes with the Faerie to become their Queen. Gwen wakes up alone and frightened, and embarks on a journey that will change her life forever. Along the way she makes friends with a leprechaun, a girl farmer, and a gorgeous Irish King. The Faerie King constantly tests her and she doesn't know why. Then Gwnen finds out that at this time, the Hunter's Moon, the Faerie take two girls, one to be the Queen and the other to be the Sacrifice.
